Plan an India trip for my parents

My parents want me to help them plan an India trip for 2 functions. The first function will be in the start of January and the second is near the end of February. Having done almost everything they need to do in their life, they have the time to actually stay in India for the months instead of flying to and fro Singapore for both events.

Great! Time to go sightseeing around India during this India trip, get back to basics, be near nature, have some fun around the various tourist attractions. So much to do!!!

However, the problem is my parents are quite old and fortunately, by the grace of Allah, they are quite healthy and have travelled far and wide. Even within India. So we are having a huge time figuring out what to do during this India trip.

At the end of a 2 hour discussion with everyone at home, we are still unsure what they will do for the 2 months 🙂

In the end we finally decided to book the air fare first and get it while we could cheap. So we booked with Air India.

To our horror, the website automatically changed our return date or something and the air fare was reduced but so was the return date. So the original was a month later  and 20 bucks more. Aiyoh! now we have to get the date changed and when I called their hotline they keep telling me I changed my mind when I never changed it. Why would I change it moments after booking the airfare.

So now we gotta go down to the Air India office and try to get them to change it without any charges except fare changes. Hopefully they will help us out as we really do not want to pay an extra 90 dollars for a date change fee. 🙁

SIANZ…so much for the problem free India trip.

Having said all of the above, my past experiences with Air India have been decent.
